Played their last player's iron right before they were bought out by Golfsmith. The VIP forged cavity. Great irons. Was looking at these MTs. Have you contacted Macgregor asking about the design of the PW? There may be a reason for the madness.

Those look like blanks the OEMs would get and then finish milling them to produce the final product. I miss the MT blade/cavity models they used to produce. I'd still support them before the ridiculous brand names trying to rob people blind with their ridiculous pricing of clubs. Golf doesn't need to be that expensive. Glad to see companies like MacGregor offering people affordable options.

I still game the PCB Tour Forged that Jose Maria Olazabal played. It's seen better days, but they still work.

Still got my dad's Macgregor M85 Tourney 1 iron from the 50s or 60s. Sweet spot the size of a dime. Looks good hanging on the wall.

Many of the old timers ( Palmer, Player, and several others ) said Jack played with Inferior MacGregor equipment and balls , and said if he had gone with a better brand, he would have won many many more Majors and tournaments than he did. He was so good they said he basically overpowered the bad and made his equipment work. Even my granddad wouldn't play MacGregor equipment, my granddad played Kenneth Smith and Spalding clubs. I still have my custom-fit Kenneth Smith forged blades, they still play very well today.

first set of clubs were some Macgregor golden bear irons. Loved them. Was about to order this same set but ended up getting some Titleist T100s second hand for the same price. Glad to see they are performing as good as some name brand irons. Seeing all of these DTC club makes making quality equipment is a huge W for a majority of golfers.

Would bending the PW 2 degrees weak affect you gapping too much?

Did you check with macgregor about the offset on the PW? Maybe it was an error.

How's south hampton been? I see you did some testing at windsor. Is south hampton still pretty rough?

There is a video from 2021ish where a guy compared 90’s liquid filled Titleist Pro92 with a new Prov1 and the difference was almost unnoticeable. Same guy did a 1990s Calloway Big Bertha driver vs the 2024 Calloway top end one and the yardage was only 5-8 years difference. The biggest measurable difference on any video I’ve seen is is Ball with a knick or scratch vs brand new ball. On a drive it can be up to 20 yards off line.

On my side, I striked the ball irregularly, I bought the lag shot since 3 years by now. Love it. what I have learned is when you swing, at the top of your swing, you count 1 than you go back to the ball. It helps understanding the tempo. I had a lot of misery and sometimes I still struggle with this. As an ex-hockey player, the slapshot is pretty close to certain things in the motion of the golf swing. But you don't need to have a good tempo with it. I need to wait for the club a bit more with my body, I have a tendencie to overturn slightly before impact, so it makes me snap hook. If my bad habit come back on a par 3 for example, this is almost a bogey and + every time. If I do like I have the lagshot in my hands, I wait for the club and this is almost a GIR each times... Well, I don't know for the other 2 golf aid, but for me LAGSHOT all the way. I've heard that you can gain distance also with it, but for now I'm not into this type of practice, just trying everytime I use to improve my tempo as much as I can with it is already a good challenge..

Can this be used on a real course. I struggle to see my driver balls so i always have to play with others so they can track it for me. This seems like i could set it up and use it to track my ball after ive hit it to find it easily?

I wish they would release a PC app so you can bypass having to use a phone/tablet on an indoor simulator.

Not sure I have ever seen Southampton look that bad. I haven't played it in a while because of conditions, and it used to be my "go to" course to play and practice at. Sad to see and hope they get it back.

They need to make it capable of hooking up to pc instead of everything having to go through the phone or tablet. I know there are some apps that make it possible but for not techy people like myself.haha Thats what's stopping me from buying this,

Funny...I was Fitted with theQI10 Max this week and the difference shock me, on off center Strike... Of the 18 Balls i hit . 17 een of them were dead center, with a dispersion factor of less than 5 Mts...I wasn t still completely convinced , but was able to take the driver off for a test round... I Did hit 12 of 14 fairways , creating a Level of confidence that i wasn t aware of !!!! However , just not ready to invest the Money this Baby command ... So Back to my R1 that i did adjust as the fitting showed me, Still hitting over 60% Fairways , but Yesss, 10 yards shorter than the new stick...Is that worth the investment... not for me , as my main concern in my Game is to avoid obstacle and hit Fairways off the tees... And Yess, i m still in Love with the Graphics on the White head, and the reactions of my partners Knowing the rest of my bag is actually pretty new, is always fun to see !!!! Will be waiting on the evolution of the QI10, so that i can buy the OG at a fair price...<);-(0...!!!

Not a fair test. You need to check it in an xstiff shaft. Takes Mizuno adapter. Get it done.

Anybody know how to enter the pre-qualifiers for Q school? I'm looking to enter this year as the prequailifers are near where I live this year.
